Calendar Highlights: March/April 2007 (Academic calendars by semester: Index)   
  • March 2 (Week 8): Last date to apply for undergraduate degree and graduation for May 2007
  • March 9 (Week 9): Last date to use regular Withdrawal
  • March 12–16: Spring Break (most DDP courses now honor spring break)
  • April 9 (Week 13): Registration opens for summer and fall 2007 courses

Check Your APR and Contact Advisor
Advisors will be done updating academic progress reports (APRs) and have posted them to the advising Web pages. Log in to your My DDP advising Web page to view and/or print your APR before calling your advisor in preparation for summer and/or fall registration, which opens April 9. Your APR is your "roadmap" to graduation; pay close attention to it every semester! If you have questions about it, please consult your advisor. Remember, you cannot register in myWSU without discussing your classes and APR with your advisor and requesting that your advising hold be removed.

Coming DDP Changes
Several policies and procedures are changing at DDP:
  • Media Late Return Fees: Beginning with return of summer 2007 semester rental media, rental media late return fees will be restructured. Under the new policy, there will be three deadlines for returning rental media: the first at the end of the original rental period and the second and third during the next semester. Students not returning rental items by the end-of-rental-period deadline, or before the next two deadlines during the next semester, will be charged a rental media late return fee after each missed deadline equal to one-third of twice the original rental fee.

    Late fee if not returned by end-of-rental-period deadline (August 31)$60/3 = $20
    Late fee if not returned by second return deadline (September 21)$60/3 = $20
    Late fee if not returned by third & final return deadline (October 12)$60/3 = $20

  • Course Completion Policy: Beginning with fall 2007 for spring 2008 enrollments, students enrolled in six or more credits (semester-based and/or flexible enrollment) must complete at least 50 percent of their course work in each course to be able to register for the next semester.

  • CougarCards: In the near future, DDP students will be required to fax a copy of an official photo ID when requesting a CougarCard. Details will be provided when available.

    ASWSU-DDP is YOUR student government. We invite and encourage student participation in all our meetings.

    • Discussion: Ongoing discussion items are posted to the ASWSU-DDP Hot Line Message Board (ASWSU-DDP Connection; select "Enter Message Boards").

    Senate Meetings: Senate meetings are open to the public. DDP students are encouraged to attend.

  • 2007-2008 Student Government Elections
    Vote for your 2007-2008 ASWSU-DDP Student Government Leaders! The filing forms are in and campaigning began on February 23. Please visit the ASWSU-DDP Web site (ASWSU-DDP) to learn about each student running for a student government position by clicking on the Election 2007 link under the Hot Topics section! Beginning March 8, you can vote for next year’s student leaders. Voting will close at 8:00 am on March 16 and the election results will be posted on the ASWSU-DDP Web site. Your vote is very important, please take the time to help select next year’s student leaders!

  • 2007 Community Service Project
    The ASWSU-DDP public relations committee is working hard on the 2007 community service project. We will be holding a school supply donation drive to help an under funded school in need of supplies for their students. If you are able to donate to this project please visit the ASWSU-DDP Web site (ASWSU-DDP) for further details when they are available.
