2007-2008 Tuition Announced

The following 2007-2008 tuition rates were recently announced for DDP semester-based and flexible enrollment courses:

  • Flexible Enrollment: $232/credit (all flexible enrollment credits are charged per credit)
  • Semester-based Undergraduate:
    • Resident: $315/credit; $3145 full time (10-18 credits)
    • Non-resident: $460/credit; $4598 full time (10-18 credits)
See complete tuition details, including graduate and over 18 credits semester-based tuition (Tuition).

Flexible Enrollment Changes

Policy changes to flexible enrollment course registration and tuition that were announced before the Memorial Day weekend will not be implemented as planned. Flexible enrollment tuition will remain at per credit rates (flex credits are excluded from full-time tuition caps) but will increase to the rate noted in the tuition information above; registration for flexible enrollment courses will continue to be possible at any time, not just during the University's open registration period.

One change has been implemented: flexible enrollment courses are no longer identified by "x" after the course number. In WSU time schedules of classes and the DDP online course listing/catalog, flexible enrollment course names/numbers will be the same as all other WSU courses (e.g., Fine Arts 101x displays as Fine Arts 101) and will be identified by "FX" in a descriptor field (similarly, semester-based courses will be identified by "SB").

WebCT/Blackboard Merger

DDP courses offered in WebCT now also display the Blackboard name and logo since Blackboard bought out WebCT last year.

Fall 2007 Graduation Application

The graduation application deadline for December graduation 2007 is October 11, 2007 for DDP students. Students are encouraged to apply for graduation once they have completed 90 credits. If you have not yet applied, please contact Chrisi Kincaid (800-222-4978).

Request Summer Proctored Exams

Request all remaining exams for your summer semester courses and pay special attention to the following:

Coming DDP Changes—With Revisions
>> Review . . .
Take Note: Use the "Review" link for information about changes related to Cougar Cards and the CCP policy. The media late return fee information is repeated below:

Media Late Return Fees—Revised Schedule (see NOTE below): Rental media late return fees and deadlines are being restructured. Under the new policy, there will be three deadlines for returning rental media: the first will be four weeks after the end of the original rental period and the last two will follow at three week intervals. Students not returning rental items by the end-of-rental-period deadline, or before the next two deadlines, will be charged a rental media late return fee after each missed deadline equal to one-third of twice the original rental fee.

Rental Media Late Return Fee Schedule
Original Rental Fee$30 $60 $90
Total Possible Late Fees$60 $120 $180
Late fee if not returned by first return deadline
(4 weeks after the end of the semester)
e.g., Fall 2007 rental returns 1st deadline: January 11, 2008
$20 $40 $60
Late fee if not returned by second return deadline
(7 weeks after the end of the semester)
e.g., Fall 2007 rental returns 2nd deadline: February 1, 2008
$20 $40 $60
Late fee if not returned by third & final return deadline
(10 weeks after the end of the semester)
e.g., Fall 2007 rental returns 3rd deadline: February 22, 2008
$20 $40 $60

NOTE: The three deadline dates published in the example in the spring newsletter and March Update (August 31, September 21, and October 12) are slightly different than they would be using the revised schedule shown above. The summer deadline dates published will be honored for summer returns.
