Calendar Highlights: January 2007 (Academic calendars by semester: Index  
  • January 8 (Week 1):
    • First day of spring 2007 courses
    • Tuition due—Make payment in myWSU
    • Beginning this date, enrollments are subject to a $25 service fee
  • January 12 (Week 1): Last date to DROP courses resulting in cancellation of enrollment with full refund (less 5% administation fee)
  • January 15 (Week 2): All University holiday (Martin Luther King Day)
  • January 19 (Week 2): Last date to enroll prior to $100 late registration fee
  • January 22 (Week 3): Last date to pay tuition and mandatory fees prior to assessment of 3% late penalty fee

WebCT 4.1 Spaces for Flexible Enrollment Courses Begun Summer 2006
The decision to move WebCT 4.1 flexible enrollment courses that were begun in summer 2006 to WebCT 6 if extended into spring 2007 has been reversed. These courses will continue to be offered in the existing WebCT 4.1 spaces.

Spring On-site Academic Seminars

Take Note: Students and their guests are welcome at all the Rendezvous seminars, but, to receive credit for the academic seminars, students must enroll in the seminars as part of their spring enrollments.

DDP Academic Calendar Change

Bookie Reminders for Students Taking DDP Courses

Take Note: Ordering textbooks from the Bookie for DDP courses is not the same as purchasing texts for on-campus courses. Be sure to review the information in November's announcement and see Bookie DDP Buyback Procedures at www.wsubookie.net/ddpbuyback.html (questions: call 800-937-4978 ext. 336). Also remember, materials purchased from the Bookie are NOT returned to DDP and DDP rental materials are NOT returned to the Bookie

Scholarship Information

Take Note: The scholarship application is now available! Submit your applications as soon as possible before the January 31, 2007 deadline to determine your scholarship eligibility for the over 700 different scholarship programs awarded through this application for use during the 2007-2008 academic year.

  • Meet Your 2006-2007 DDP Student Government Representatives!
    From the President: We are excited to welcome new Senators Amity Bishop, Crystal Darling, and Amy Bray to the DDP student government. Amity, Crystal, and Amy were voted in as ASWSU-DDP Senators at the December 6, 2006 senate meeting. Their term will officially begin the first day of spring semester; we are excited to have them as members of our team! If you would like to become involved in the DDP student government as well, please e-mail me at azander@wsu.edu.

    ASWSU-DDP is YOUR student government. We invite and encourage student participation in all our meetings.

    • Discussion: Ongoing discussion items are posted to the ASWSU-DDP Hot Line Message Board (ASWSU-DDP Connection; select "Enter Message Boards").

    Senate Meetings: Senate meetings are open to the public. DDP students are encouraged to attend.

  • December Graduation Reception Recap
    We would like to congratulate all DDP students who graduated in December and thank everyone who came to the December Graduation Reception. This event was a great success with over 100 guests in attendance including DDP faculty, administration, staff, students, and guests. Everyone had a wonderful time enjoying the live music, a buffet, and sharing experiences. We look forward to hosting next year’s event!
