Spring 2007 Commencement Ceremony
Commencement exercises will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2007. If you plan on participating, view information about commencement, DDP/ASWSU-DDP events, ordering your cap and gown, and lodging options online (Commencement: Spring 2007). See also information in the DDP Student Handbook (Graduation & Commencement Specifics) We encourage you to make your lodging reservations as soon as possible as rooms fill up rapidly for commencement weekends. See also "Spring 2007 Commencement Events" in the ASWSU-DDP section below.

Complete Your Writing Portfolio To Avoid Registration Holds
Distance Degree Programs students who have completed 60 credit hours but have not completed their WSU Writing Portfolios (EDP 100) will have summer and fall 2007 registration holds placed on their accounts by the Writing Programs Office.

Consult the Writing Portfolio instructions online (WSU Junior Writing Portfolio—DDP Students). If you are not enrolled in EDP 100, log in to My DDP and select "EDP 100" to request enrollment. Your first hold can be released when your EDP 100 enrollment is processed and three papers or the exam have been submitted. If you have had two or more Writing Portfolio holds placed, you must complete the portfolio before the hold can be removed; students are allowed only two semesters to complete the portfolio. Contact Maria Greaney at the DDP office (800-222-4978 or distance@wsu.edu) if you have questions.

Academic Progress Reports for Summer 2007 Registration
DDP academic advisors currently are working to update students' Academic Progress Reports (APR) for summer 2007 registration, which opens April 9. The most recent copy of each student’s APR will be posted to My DDP by February 20.

Request Spring Proctored Exams Now
All proctored exams for a course may be REQUESTED at the beginning of the course if you have a proctor who is able and agrees to hold untaken exams for a semester. Please note, requesting exams so they're ready for you to take is not the same as taking exams; you should submit all course work preceding an exam before you actually take it.

Request exams/Submit a proctor nomination in My DDP (not WebCT, even if the course is delivered in WebCT). Log in to My DDP with your WSU Network ID and password, and select "Current Courses." In the list of courses, select "view" in the "Course Work" column for the course for which you need a proctored exam. Select "Request" in the "Exam Sent" column for the appropriate exam, complete the Proctor Nomination/Exam Request, and select "Submit Exam Request."

When requesting exams, please be aware of the following:
  • You may use the "Comments" box to include the proctor’s fax number or other information.
  • The word "Request" is replaced first by the date you submit the request (shown in red) and then by the date the exam is sent to the proctor (shown in blue and linked to the proctor information). Exams are usually processed within two working days.
  • If you need exams sent to a proctor quickly, select the Federal Express option; FedEx charges are posted to your student account.

Please make sure you understand all your options as you begin your courses and make plans with your proctor ahead of time, especially if expedited delivery of completed exams might be necessary:
