Study Plans for Spring 2007 Registration Have a New Name   Beginning this fall, DDP is changing the name of the document used to chart academic progress from "study plan" to "Academic Progress Report" (APR); the advising team thinks this name more accurately reflects what the they feels to be the role of the spreadsheet. Currently DDP advisors are working to update students' APRs for spring 2007 registration, which opens November 6; the most recent copy of each student’s APR will be posted to My DDP no later than October 20.
Education Abroad   WSU colleges and departments offer a variety of opportunities for students to study all over the world and earn credit while they expand their cultural horizons—opportunities that are available to distance students as well as campus students. Visit the International Programs Education Abroad Web page (Education Abroad) to start exploring the different types of programs and find out how you can apply. If you have questions or need more information, use the contact information provided with the program details or contact International Programs.
Apply for December Graduation   The deadline to apply for December 2006 graduation is October 6, 2006; to apply for December graduation after that date, you will need to submit two checks: $36.95 for the application fee and an additional check for $75 for the late fee. Please apply as soon as possible; we cannot be responsible for applications that arrive in the mail after the deadline. Questions? Please contact Chrisi Kincaid at 800-222-4978 or ckincaid@wsu.edu.
Scholarship Information   Be aware that the Washington State University Scholarship Application will be available in October and due January 31, 2007! So, now is the time to begin crafting your scholarship essays! Over 700 different scholarship programs are awarded through this application. Students who complete the academic scholarship application are considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible. For more information, please reference the following Web site: www.finaid.wsu.edu/scholar/ or call 509-335-1059.
Stay Informed . . . Use myWSU & My DDP   We encourage you to become familiar with the best way to get information and avoid problems or costly oversights. Routinely logging in to myWSU (my.wsu.edu) allows you to view any notices you receive, including all of the official WSU and DDP notices you get no other way (e.g., billing and payment reminders).

The links in myWSU also allow you easy access to other pages you should be checking regularly for specific information and services available no where else (e.g., My DDP). Only in My DDP can you view your advising Web page, where you get your most current academic progress report and restricted SLNs for registration, or view course-related details to track media orders or request proctored exams. If you do choose to log in to other pages directly, such as WebCT, please take time to check your myWSU and My DDP pages frequently to get all the information you need.
